The first FTTX certification course in Canada, this course is geared to TELCO, CATV, Network Cabling Installers, Security Installers and all persons interested in the new opportunities presented by installing Fiber To The Home or Premises or Fiber To The X. Applications, Jargon, design issues, Architectures, Passive and Active Optical Networks, Splitters, Closure, Tapered Couplers, WICs, WDMs, Nodes, Power Ratios, Loss Budget, Standards involved, Install requirements and methods, network connectors, grounding, testing issues, temperature and safety issues.
