A Master Electrician and Licensed Toronto Metro Contractor, William Graham teaches Fiber Optic training courses and other Industrial Skills courses, including VDV Network Cabling Systems Inspection training , Grounding and Bonding, Fiber To The Home (X) across Canada, the U.S and the Caribbean . His customers include Community Colleges, Trade Unions, the Canadian Military, Canadian government, Utilities and the general public through Mississauga Training Consultants, a company he has operated for several years. These courses range from short one day Grounding and bonding Techniques courses, two day FTTX courses, three day seminars in Network Cabling Systems Inspection to five day Installation and Splicing Fiber Optic Technicians Certification programs.
The Five day Installation and Splicing Fiber Optic Course and the Fiber To The Home (X) program are both approved by the Fiber Optic Association and, with over 2,200 certified fiber optic installers through this program in Canada alone, Mississauga Training is recognized as one of the leading training providers for the communications and Electrical industry in North America and the Caribbean. These courses are conducted on a regularly scheduled basis in the Toronto / Mississauga metro area and at the customers premises.
Previous to this, Mr. Graham was a Senior Skills Instructor for Atomic Energy Of Canada. In this position he developed and taught skills upgrading programs, conducted job needs analyses and developed training along the DACUM model. Mr. Graham also spent six years teaching and developing programs in the apprenticeship programs at two Ontario Community colleges.
Mr. Graham is certified by AT&T, Siecor Corporation and The Fiber Optic Association as a Fiber Optic Installation and Splicing Specialist as well as a Certified Fiber Optic Instructor. He has authored texts entitled Fiber Optics in Communications, Basic Instrumentation for Electricians, Grounding-Bonding-Harmonics Techniques, Fiber To the Home or Premises, and Network Cabling Inspection. Many of his articles have appeared in trade publications across North America. Aside from trade qualifications, he also holds his Master of Science Degree in Education. Since the mid 90s he has conducted seminars on Optical Fiber and other topics at events from New York to Las Vegas.
Mr. Graham is a member of the Association of Cabling Professionals, a member and a Director of the Fiber Optic Association in Boston, a member of CITO and is on the advisory board of Network & Cabling Magazine.
